Hi, I’m Nicholas.#
I’m a Technology Graduate Associate at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), working in Post Trade Engineering with a focus on DevSecOps. In my day job, I mainly work on CI/CD workflows and manage AWS cloud infrastructure. I also often deal with service observability, artifact management and secrets management. Some of the technologies I work with on a regular basis include GitLab, Terraform (with Terragrunt), Ansible and Datadog.
I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2025 with a Masters of Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts (Engineering), with dual specialisations in Information Engineering and Bioengineering. I have received numerous awards of acadmic distinction, including the Corpus Christi College Foundation Scholarship - the highest undergraduate honour in the college - and the Best Student in Engineering Area: Bioengineering.
Over the years, through numerous internships and projects, I have gathered considerable experience in a diverse array of fields and technologies. Highlights include:
- Developed a mixed-reality interface with the Meta Quest 3 headset for programming a robotic arm, investigating the industrial implications of human-computer interaction for my final-year project at the Cambridge Engineering Control Group
- Trained a U-net convolutional neural network to analyse 3D videos of embryo development, identifying where and when cell division occurred, at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology as a Machine Learning Intern
- Wrote a system to detect detours and analyse the resultant time savings for a traffic routing service using Go and Elasticsearch (for data retrieval) for Graphmasters as a Software Engineering Intern
